Dry, scaly, and flaking skin caused by psoriasis and eczema can be more than an itchy nuisance; it can be a downright painful problem. Eczema Skin Review reports on products that I’ve tested first-hand to help you get your skin back to basics.
Committed to eliminating the try-and-see approach to skin care products, I’ve assembled a first-hand review of some of the market’s most sought-after remedies.
All the products I review have been tried, tested, and proven to conquer your largest skin dilemmas.
In this review, I’ll be digging deep into Wild Naturals Eczema and Psoriasis Cream (Manuka Honey Cream). I loved its immediate relief and was astounded to see how quickly it corrected my redness and blotchy skin patches.
An all-over cream, this multi-purpose product successfully rejuvenates skin and battles concurrent skin conditions.
Skin Relief When It Matters Most: Wild Naturals Eczema & Psoriasis Cream
This ointment is truly top-notch. I’m usually not surprised by a product, but this one definitely caught me off guard.
At first glance, I wasn’t expecting much based on its underwhelming packaging.
My first impression was that it looked like every other under-performing cream on the market. Its lacklustre label definitely didn’t grab my attention.
I decided to test this product, in spite of its dull branding, because of its reputation and its infamous manufacturer’s money-back guarantee. With nothing to lose, I added it to my Amazon order.
Once I peeled back the safety seal and rubbed just a test amount of cream on my skin, I was quickly reminded how deceiving appearances can be. This skin cream totally blew me away and more than made up for what it was lacking in the marketing department.
Natural and Organic Skin Products: What Are the Best Psoriasis and Eczema Products?
Sensitive-skinned people, like myself, are often prone to breakouts, rashes, and increased product sensitivity.
The best products for people who are prone to sensitive skin are all-natural and additive-free creams. Wild Naturals is exactly that—natural, organic, and carefully crafted to care for sensitive skin and fragile flare-up areas.
While most creams use water as their primary or secondary ingredient, Wild Naturals chose to use Aloe as their base. For me, this was an instant bonus, since Aloe has a ton of healing properties and is also sensitive-skin friendly.
Real Relief: Understanding Your Condition, a Review of the Best Cream Ingredients to Soothe, Moisturize, and Nurture
I’ve used and reviewed a ton of other creams, and the frustration was always the same. Whenever I seemed to find the perfect product for one condition, it would exacerbate the others.
Many people suffering from eczema are often affected by other issues such as rosacea, psoriasis, dermatitis, and general skin sensitivity, which makes keeping your symptoms under control a difficult task.
Wild Naturals actually tackled my multiple conditions and issues simultaneously. Its pH-balanced formula didn’t irritate my skin or cause unwanted flare-ups. In my world, this is a total skin-win.
Since it’s steroid-free and doesn’t include any additives, I wasn’t concerned about medication or product interactions. This is one of the best creams I’ve tried so far, as it delivered all-over results for so many issues.
Introduction to Ingredients: What Makes a Good Psoriasis and Eczema Cream?
You’re probably wondering what the best ingredients for treating eczema and psoriasis are. I’ve come to realize that it’s not just about the ingredients but the way the product’s elements work together.
Wild Naturals comprises 27 ingredients, making it one of the more ingredient-heavy creams on the market.
Aloe is the main element in Wild Naturals, but it also has a few components that actively assist with intensive skin repair. These fundamental ingredients are:
- Cocoa Seed Butter
- Manuka Honey
- Coconut Oil
- Shea Butter
- Olive, Hemp, and Carrot Seed Oil
While this cream is focused on moisturizing and repairing damaged skin, it’s also packed with vitamins that improve its structure and appearance.
Vitamins E, B5, and C all play a major role in this ointment’s effectiveness. Known for nourishing, moisturizing, and combating age, this vitamin cocktail makes skin supple and more youthful looking.
An Overview of the Cream
Finding Wild Naturals Cream was a definite score. Aside from being a cure-all remedy for multiple conditions, it also has a terrific texture.
At first touch, the cream seems to be thick, like body butter or cold cream. Yet the minute you put it on, you can see how light and surprisingly grease-free it is.
Its lightweight application definitely wasn’t something I would have expected based on the way the cream looked in its container.
Here is my customer cheat sheet!
Scent
Wild Naturals is all-natural and has no fragrances added to it. Unlike many natural products, this cream has virtually no smell, natural or otherwise.
The extremely light scent it does have is akin to the smell of rich soil or a fresh vegetable garden in summer.
Size
Available in a 4 oz. or 8 oz. container, its packaging is a common, twist-off, plastic jar. Its basic shape makes it easy to stack in a medicine cabinet or stash under the sink. Both sizes come in extremely durable containers.
Texture
In the jar, it looks and appears thick, buttery, and a bit greasy. Once it’s on your skin, it’s incredibly lightweight and absorbs quickly. Non-greasy, it feels weightless and invisible in minutes.
Color
It looks just like cold cream, but it doesn’t make your skin appear white once you start rubbing it in.
Age doesn’t tend to favor all-natural products. The shelf life on this is about six months from first application. So, if you notice a color change, it’s likely time to buy a new batch.
Cost
Seriously, I got this cream for way less on Amazon than on the manufacturer’s website. The sticker price is $39.95 for a 4 oz. and $49.95 for an 8 oz.; Amazon had them for almost 40% cheaper, so make sure you check there first if you love a deal.
Psoriasis Creams That Work: A One-Month Review of Wild Naturals Cream
Wild Naturals can be used anywhere really, but in total honestly, as impressive as the cream is, it’s more of an all-over body cream than it is a face cream.
In a pinch, it can absolutely moonlight as a facial cream and really does help with rosacea redness.
Its slightly heavy texture makes it truly spectacular for all-over body use.
I used Wild Naturals two to three times a day. I usually used it in the morning and before bed. Sometimes, I’d apply some when I came home from work if it was a super dry or itchy day.
Day One
Right out of the jar, I was impressed by its easy absorption and fast-acting itch relief. My dry patches, and extremely sore areas that had deep damage, felt refreshed almost instantly.
I was really amazed by how quickly my urge to scratch was eliminated. Definitely a bonus when you’re having a sudden flare-up or have been dealing with prolonged symptoms.
Day Three
The initial relief wasn’t a passing phase. Every time I felt itchy or pained by a problem area, the ointment took the sting away immediately.
The middle area of my troublesome zones began to level out, and I could see my skin cells rebounding. The edges of lengthy irritation areas began to smooth themselves into the rest of my skin.
My inflamed patches were less noticeable, and major problem areas by my scalp line were no longer scabbing or flaking.
One Week
I noticed the biggest difference at the one week mark. While the pain-free effects were great, obviously the ultimate goal is to decrease symptoms and restore skin’s vitality.
My inflamed areas had drastically settled down, and my red patches of skin and blotchy areas had significantly corrected themselves. My skin was no longer splattered with dry, sore, red zones.
I began to use the product more sparingly as I did not need to use as much as I had on the first few days. I used about a mini marshmallow sized amount on each problem area, and a chocolate chip sized amount on less serious patches.
My skin’s smoothness was noticeably improved.
One Month
At the one month mark, I was pleased to find that my flare-ups were under control and that any new areas of concern were diminished rapidly.
Without the need to itch and scratch constantly, my rough patches recovered faster. My swollen, red areas that used to stand out decreased significantly. In fact, if you weren’t looking for them, you probably wouldn’t spot them.
I did have a rosacea breakout during this period and tried the cream on my face for a few days. It worked really well on the redness. I still think it’s more of a body cream, but it sure worked wonders on rosacea.
I used the 8 oz. jar and it has about a week’s supply left after a month. Amazon still had the discount on, so I bought three more.
You Ask, I Answer: Questions From Readers
Did You Find That It Worked Better Than Prescription Creams On Cracked and Dry Skin Zones?
I definitely did. I’m not a huge fan of prescription creams and ointments to begin with, but I did notice a large difference.
A lot of the time I would use a prescription cream and its effectiveness would wear off. With Wild Naturals, I experienced the same effects from start to finish.
Would I Buy It Again?
You mean after the three other jars I already purchased? Yes, I’m sure I would! Although I’m really eager to try out the face cream too, so I might end up dabbling between the two, depending on where my flare-ups are located.
Is It Actually Gluten Free?
Full disclosure, I have a gluten intolerance. However, I did not try eating it nor was I concerned about licking it because I didn’t really use it on my face that much.
That being said, the manufacturers do say it’s gluten free, and my experience did nothing to suggest otherwise. No reactions or issues!
